Friday 5th June

الدارجة Year 6,

It's Friday and nearly the weekend.  If I haven't called you yet make sure you are near the phone this morning as I will call.  I have really enjoyed talking to you all as it really has brightened up my day.  I have received some super photos of Ava Mae's and Syisha's face masks, along with a photo of the bookmarks Summer created and Leoni's trifle.  I have been given some super facts that I will use in a quiz from Katie and Oliver.

Talofa Year 6,

I hope you enjoy today’s tasks/activities.  I know many of you have watched the clip by Mrs Bailey and are disappointed that you are not coming back yet!  I can tell you the staff do feel the same as you.  Thanks to Mathilda for her letter including her feelings as well as ideas.  I have had many photos of your 'Ultimate Sandwiches' from Oliver, Brooke, Katie and Summer.  Two photos of artwork from Oliver and Leoni were nice to see.  Leoni made some chalk for her outdoor activity and Katie made a game that can be played in a swimming pool.  Finally, Brooke sent her drawing of 'Ka' to me and Oliver put his results from his spotting people out when walking, on YouTube.

Truly missing all of you, Mr Taylor

Cama-ihi Year 6,

It’s Monday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend and did something nice.  I did some painting for my Mum and Dad (boring!).  Evelyn sent me her data for the number of people she saw while out walking, it looked really professional as she did it on the computer.  Leoni's cookies looked delicious, they made my stomach rumble!  Also Aimee and Leoni sent me some photos of their parachute designs.  They seemed to work well.  Finally, I saw another excellent drawing of 'Ka' by Macey.

Enjoy today's activities.

Szia Year 6,

Did you phone a relative yesterday?  I called my Grandad as he lives on his own and is 93 years old.  Today I enjoyed reading Luke's letter and he told me how proud he is of his Mum, who is working in the A&E department in a hospital.  I think everyone at the moment is proud of all the people who work in the NHS.  Mathilda sent me a photo of her ice cream which contained fudge and caramel, it looked delicious.

Remember to catch up with any activities you have missed so far this week - if you have any spare time today.  Enjoy your weekend.

Did you manage to get your parents to complete your obstacle course?  I made one and my Mum who is 70 completed some of the obstacles!  Did you manage to make the ice cream?

Leoni did, and it looked so refreshing.  She even added some chocolate sprinkles and mini cookies.  Thanks Evelyn for your letter, I can see that you are making use of your new bike.

I am going into school Friday to pick up some bits and pieces, and so will hopefully have more letters to pick up.

Dia dhuit Year 6,

I have really enjoyed seeing your flapjacks that you have made.  Thank you Aimee and Maisy for the photos of your flapjacks.  It has been nice reading the letters about what you have been up to and so far I have received letters from Maisie, Oliver, Katie, Macey and Lucas.  Just to let you know, I am still living with my parents, and still surviving!  My Mum is spoiling me by making different puddings every night and she is even tucking me in at bedtime.  We have had many barbecues as the weather has been fantastic.  Around 5:00pm on most days, I have been going out running and have enjoyed building up the miles I run.  I can’t wait to read more of the letters you are writing to me.

By the end of this week (most of you) will have been away from school for 6 weeks!

Friday 24th April

Namaskaar Year 6.

It’s nearly the weekend and time for a rest.  I hope you are managing to complete all the tasks/activities I have been setting.  If you don’t get a chance to complete all the activities on a given day then please catch up with them when you can.  Again, I have received some super photos of the flapjacks you have baked.  It is nice to see your work and faces as it seems ages ago that I saw you.  Thank you Oliver, Macey, Katie, Maisie, Syisha and Summer for the flapjack photos.  Ava, I look forward to seeing your flapjacks after the weekend.

I have attached the ‘Limerick’ & ‘Timeline’ answers from yesterday. Limericks-Worksheet-2-answers.docx World-War-II-Timeline-of-events-answers.docx

Great flapjacks Jason, Leoni and Jessica.  I like the Easter Egg chocolate on Jessica's!

The weather today is looking good so make sure you manage to get into your garden or take a walk in a park.  Try some of the 1 minute games.
