Honest & Respect

Our School

03 Our School front

The Duke of Bedford Primary School was built in 1940 as an ‘all age’ school, catering for children between the ages of five and 15 years. It is now a primary school, with children leaving at 11.

As a result of our secondary ‘heritage’ we have the advantage of a large building, with spacious classrooms. Our grounds are extensive, with attractive gardens containing a variety of trees, hedging and a field.

Our playground has a ‘quiet area’ with seating and shrubs, for children to escape the bustle of the main play area if they wish. We have a ‘Trim Trail’ on our field, which is made up of play equipment designed to aid children's fitness. There is a Children's Centre on the site, which provides a valuable resource for the whole community.
