Reception Admissions
The Duke of Bedford Primary School admits pupils into the reception class in the September of the academic year in which a child turns five years old. We have an admission number of 30 per year group and accept children according to our admissions policy which sets out the priority criteria for applications.

In Year Admissions into The Duke of Bedford Primary School
If your child is already of school age and attending another Peterborough school and you wish to apply for a place at our school you can either request an In-Year Transfer Form from your child’s current school or complete an online application at https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-education/school-admissions/moving-schools-in-year-transfer. Once completed this must be forwarded to Admissions and your child will be placed on our relevant year group waiting list, if we have one. Offers are made by the Local Authority Admissions Team every 2 weeks during term time. You will be contacted by School Admissions or by our school should your child be offered an In Year place at our school.
